Walter Jones Historical Park is a riverfront park in the heart of the Mandarin neighborhood of Jacksonville Florida, and is also home to the Mandarin Museum. The artifacts of this beautiful photo-friendly location include historic buildings, an old school house and wine relics from the Losco family (tucked away in an inconspicuous building). There is also a tree-lined nature trail that eventually leads to the St. Johns River waterfront, with views of sailboats in the bay and the downtown Jacksonville skyline.Â
All of the historic buildings are open to the public with volunteers present to provide insight and answer questions on the first Saturday of every month, from 10am until 2pm. Admission to the park and the historic buildings onsite, is free during this time.Â
