As part of this destination photography shoot, we had access to the Colosseum underground; a place where few people have been granted entry. Below the Colosseum, one of the worlds most spectacular arenas, is where animals were herded through underground passages, kept in cages and later lifted to the arena floor via hand operated elevators, where they were met by gladiators.Â
A looming storm and a few rain showers didn't get to much in the way of admiring what still stands of the inspiring architecture of the Colosseum, walking in the footsteps of gladiators who waited there centuries ago.
